1.0 GOOD GOVERNANCE PROJECT
Project Title: INTERGRATING SOCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY MONITORING FOR SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF RESOURCES IN THE EDUCATION SECTOR, BUKOBA DISTRICT

INTRODUCTION
In July 2018, Kagera Development and Credit Revolving Fund (KADETFU), signed a continuation contract with The Foundation for Civil Society (FCS) for implementing a community-based intervention on Social Accountability Monitoring in Bukoba District Council whose second quarter activities were implemented in September until December 2018. The intervention covers 18 villages in 6 wards of Bukoba District Council.

PLANNED ACTIVITIES
 Conduct a participatory social accountability monitoring in remaining 9 villages involving project team and village SAM committee members for two days each.
 Engage leaders and citizens to dialogue on emerging Sam issues through interactive radio talk shows.
 Print and distribute publication with key project massages
 Conduct feedback meetings to 60 education stakeholders from ward and district council levels on SAM findings for advocacy leading to corrective action plan.
 Monitoring and Evaluation
 To attend cluster reflection meetings
 To attend one National advocacy meeting
 To attend One FCS meetings

ANNUAL REPORT 2019

In 2019 KADETFU implemented three projects as stated hereunder:

1. INTEGRATING SOCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY MONITORING (SAM) for Sustainable Management of Resources in The Education Sector, Bukoba Rural District (July, 2019 to February, 2020). In July 2019, Kagera Development and Credit Revolving Fund (KADETFU), signed contract with The Foundation for Civil Society (FCS) for Implementing Social Accountability Monitoring interventions in Bukoba District. This project aimed at building on the results of SAM project earlier conducted in 6 wards (2018) and the participatory planning and budgeting project in the same District (2016-2017)
2. KAGERA COMMUNITY RADIO 93.3 MhZ: In between July  2019  and  November  2019,  Kagera  Development  and  Credit  Revolving Fund(KADETFU)  signed  contract  with  the  Economic  Social  Research  Foundation  to  implement two  phases  of  a  six  months  Radio  Tourism  Awareness Campaign  in  Kagera  region  which  was being  piloted  under  the  auspices  of  the  United  Nation’s  Development  Programme  (UNDP). The  intervention  revolved  around  designing,  preparing  and  broadcasting  radio  programs  that promote  tourism  in  Kagera  region  as  part  of the  UNDP  supported  project  aimed  at mainstreaming  poverty,  environment,  gender  and  climate  change  objectives  into  Local  Economic Development  and  SDG  localization  for  sustainable  development  and  poverty  eradication  in Tanzania.
3. BEMBEREZA ENGLISH MEDIUM PRE AND PRIMARY SCHOOL was established in 2002. It is located at Rubya, Marungu, near  Rubya    Its registration numbers are PRE-School REG.  NO.  KA06/7/EA.007 and Primary School REG.  NO.  KA/O6/7/007.  It operates under the Objectives, Mission and Vision of KADETFU.  The school has the management team including:  The School Director, The School Manager, School Coordinator, and the Head Teacher.
